Bio
Hearly Moreta is a legal intern for the Human Rights Program at the American Civil Liberties Union. She is the proud daughter of immigrants and a first-generation law student at Rutgers Law School - Newark. At Rutgers, she is a member of the Minority Student Program, serves as the MetroLALSA Representative for the Association of Latin American Law Students, and works as Events Coordinator for the Immigrants' Rights Collective. While in law school, she has served as a legal intern for the Immigrants' Rights Clinic as an Equal Justice America Summer 2024 Fellowship Recipient, and as a Clinical Student for the Constitutional Rights Clinic. Prior to law school, Hearly worked as a paralegal at Kids in Need of Defense's Detained Program.
